What ChatPlot is
ChatPlot is a web app that turns plain-language descriptions and notes into diagrams (flowcharts, sequence diagrams, mind maps, entity-relationship diagrams, Gantt charts, timelines and more) and then changes them when you ask in plain language. Every accepted change is kept as a version you can undo, compare or restore. Diagrams export as PNG or SVG and can be shared with a link that contains the diagram itself.
It runs in the browser; there is nothing to install. You can try it as a guest without an account, and sign in with Google to keep your diagrams in your account.
How it is built and paid for
The diagram is generated by a large language model from your description and drawn locally in your browser. Your description, the conversation and the diagram are sent to a third-party model provider to produce the result; the privacy policy names the providers involved and explains how they handle that data. ChatPlot's own product analytics never contain your prompts or diagrams.
ChatPlot is paid for by Pro subscriptions, not by advertising and not by selling data. Guest and Free use are limited by a monthly number of AI actions; the exact allowances are on the pricing section and come from the same source the app uses. Team and Enterprise plans are not for sale today, and the site says so wherever plans are mentioned.
How the guides and comparisons are written
Every guide on this site starts from a real diagram produced by ChatPlot from the text shown next to it; nothing is mocked up. Worked examples use synthetic or public inputs, never customer data. Comparison articles quote competitors' prices and features from their official pages with the date we read them, and say plainly when the other tool is the better fit.
Drafts are written with AI assistance and then fact-checked and edited by the people who build ChatPlot. Articles show their original publication date and the date of the last substantive update. We do not publish sponsored content, fabricated reviews, or testimonials, and we do not accept payment for links.
If you find a claim that is out of date or wrong, email team@chatplot.io with the page address and we will correct it.
